Me again being thick ? New sub account help needed.

New customer as from yesterday.
My default email account is fine (mail@username.plus.com)
I now want another email address to give to companies etc. that I do not want to have my full name (which is my username)
I have set up a sub account but it appears as  (new chosen email name@username.plus.com.
So my full name is still appearing in my new sub account.
I am in a muddle.  Any simple advise please.

When you signed up, if you'd read the screen where you chose your username, you'd have learnt  that it ALWAYS forms part of your Plusnet email address. Your only option is to get a domain or use something like gmail.

I signed up on the phone and was asked what I wanted as a 'user name' and I gave my full name as I didn't realise that it would appear in all my plusnet email addresses.
All I wanted is a plusnet 'second' email address that did not contain my full name that I can use for people/companies etc. that I don't really want to have my full name.
It is a nuisance as I use the Firefox simple mail to deal with my emails and it doesn't appear to be happy working with gmail/yahoo/hotmail email accounts.

Have just managed to get Firefox simple mail to send and receive emails from a gmail account...Job done !!

If it wasn't explained to you that the username would be part of your email address we need someone from the CRT to pick up the GM Maestro!
