Mail set up on iPhone and iPad only send from gmail and not madasafish

Have set up two email accounts one for my gmail and the other my madasafish.  They both deliver incoming mail but I can only send or forward mail from my gmail account.
The setting for the madasafish mail is
Incoming mail server:  pop.madasafish.com
Username : my correct usernam
Password: my correct password
Outgoing
SMTP
SMTP.madasafish.com
It is my primary SMTP server and is switched on.
My teccie friends cannot sort it out.  Any ideas please?
When I try to send mail from madasafish account it just sits in the outbox for hours until I delete it.

What Internet connection are you using when trying to send your messages?
If you're not using your Plusnet/Madasafish broadband account, and are relying on mobile data instead, then you'll need to use a username/password for sending email too. This should be your full email address and usual password. Any option for SSL/TLS/Secure connectivity will need disabling.
I've checked your account and it's working as expected, so that points to something to do with your settings.

I just disabled SSL and successfully sent 2 emails to my gmail account.
Maybe you could answer the other query that I raised.
On Saturday I got a message saying my IMAP quota was exceeded but I havent a clue what this means.
Also, when  was with MAAF if I had gone over my madasafish webmail allowance I could log into MAAF webmail and tidy up the folders. WIl I still have to do this and, if so, how do I log in to webmail now?

This is a great forum now that I understand how to use it.
