Madasafish email receiving and sending problems

I've had exactly the same problem with my normal POP3 e-mail and, again, since Wednesday. Is this just former Madasafiash email addresses that are affected? I know I should have had some dozen or so notifications from a website I follow, but no idea how many other e-mails there might be. My last 'in' message was on the evening of 10th October. Also if I try to send an e-mail I get an error message "sender rejected - invalid domain (no MX or A record)".

I think now the problem may be connected with Madasafish's failure to renew my domain as the registration expired on 9th September and the website disappeared on the 10th October which is when the emails stopped too. I hasten to add I am paid and up-to-date so I don't see why it shouldn't have been renewed.

Yes, the likely cause of your problems is the failure to renew your domain leading to its DNS entries being removed.

You can check its registration status at https://www.nominet.uk/whois/

At a Windows command prompt running nslookup <yourdomain>.co.uk will show A records
nslookup -type=mx <yourdomain>.co.uk will show mail exchanger (MX) records.

You need to contact Madasafish support to get registration renewed.

Yes - I have also posted under 'Everything Else'. It seems I'm not the only person to have had this problem with renewals not being done.
