HI,
I've been using WebMail frequently and successfully and first thing this morning my Inbox had pages of emails as I would expect.
Upon connecting a little while later most of my Inbox has now disappeared and I'm left with about a dozen messages.
Where has my email history gone?
This has happened in the past and it was blamed on me accessing emails using another client such as Outlook but this isn't the case here.
When I'm at home I frequently check my inbox from my tablet and it doesn't affect what I then see in webmail.
In this case I'm checking my emails from work and have touched no other client and most of the inbox has gone.
Webmail also tells me that I've used 34MB of my 100MB quota which I'm suspicious of too. I think it's inaccurate.
Can you tell me where my inbox contents has gone and can it be recovered?
I've also tried using the PlusNet webmail portal but the inbox remains the same - virtually all missing.
I find it hard to trust my email provider if it can't be guaranteed that my (in some cases) important emails can't be kept safe.

I'm not doubting what you're saying but that's the most likely eventuality TBH. In the highly unlikely event that it was anything else, for it to occur twice would be extremely unlucky. This isn't something that's known to happen

You can use the Plusnet Webmail platform to check the size of each folder. You'll probably find most of what's contributing to that quota is in your Sent Items folder or similar:

It's unlikely things can be recovered I'm afraid. Are the emails visible on any of the other devices you access from?
At a push we /might/ be able to identify the IP addresses that have recently connected to the mail servers using your credentials. That might shed some light on things (but equally it might not).
