Mac El Capitan OS and Mac Mail

I've just installed the new Mac OS "El Capitan" and now can't receive emails using Mac Mail.  Silly me, I know, but has any PlusNet user found a solution, apart from going back to the previous OS?

What happens when you try? From past experience, Apple have probably re-enabled SSL/TLS connectivity and disabled the option to allow you to use unsecured email collection.

I had to keep trying to add the email account and think I now may have succeeded on iMac but cannot get mail to work on iPad!

Re: Mac El Capitan OS and Mac Mail

I am using Mac OS X El Capitan with Mail without any problems. I use it with a number of different email providers including Plusnet.
Are you only having problems receiving emails or sending as well ? Do you get any error messages ?

Did you follow the email set up guide for iPad in the help pages here? You will have to reply "yes" to the two SSL warning messages that you'll get (one for inbound, one for outbound servers).
