LCN mail fowarding to Plusnet being blocked

Any other LCN customers out there who use mail forwarding to PlusNet
According to LCN, PlusNet is blocking all e-mails forwarded from LCN.
In my case since Saturday Aug 10th 2013.
No mention of this on the PlusNet service stats.
I've raised a ticket with PlusNet but will have to wait 22 hours for a reply.
LCN have said that they will release my rejected e-mails again once PlusNet get their finger out but it may take another 24 hours.

Re: LCN mail fowarding to Plusnet being blocked

Seen some murmurings from the support centre about this although I've not received any information about any of the domains in question so I've not been able to look into it further. I'll reply to your support ticket now.

Who are LCN? I am not getting all my e mails, could this be the reason?

They're a hosting company. Unless you've an account/domain hosted with them then your problem will be the result of something else.

Re: LCN mail fowarding to Plusnet being blocked

Well, two months later and I have the same problem again.
Last time LCN blamed PlusNet, PlusNet blamed LCN, then one day later after emails started flowing again PlusNet dropped the ball. After two weeks they locked out my ticket without understanding what the problem was..
Two months later and I have the same problem again.
Started yesterday morning and am still without emails.
LCN reacted straight away and looked into the problem and kindly send me evidence which showed that PlusNet are the problem.
Sent this to PlusNet yesterday, on a ticket, after talking to the 1st line helpdesk and nothing has happened since.
I've started to move all of my email correspondence away from both LCN and PlusNet.

Re: LCN mail fowarding to Plusnet being blocked

Still waiting from some response from PlusNet but no communication at all.
Also I've been informed by LCN that I'm not alone in PlusNet blocking emails from LCN customers.
Plusnet, you can take as long as you like now as I've moved every damn thing away from you regarding e-mail although I suspect that you will still find a way to send me my monthly bill until I switch broadband.

Re: LCN mail fowarding to Plusnet being blocked

Exactly the same problem re LCN and Plusnet.        I contacted LCN and they said yes, there has been a problem yesterday (Thurs 23rd Oct 2013)
LCN told me that they have contacted Plusnet and are waiting for some response .
Plusnet Tech Help (sic.) report that if Broadband is working and if I can end e-mails (I can), then there is nothing they can do !
Funny thing is that I have two domains at LCN each one forwards e-mails to Plusnet..
e-mails sent using one of these addresses are coming through through.  e-mails sent to the other are not coming through.
Anyone know how to get Plusnet to do something ?

Re: LCN mail fowarding to Plusnet being blocked

In  a funny way I'm happy that someone else has the same problem. I thought PlusNet was just picking on me.
My ticket was raised on Oct 22nd and still no emails coming through.
No one from PlusNet appears to be actioning my ticket even though I bump it every day.
LCN have been very helpful though, contacting me every day and offering assistance.
Just sent PlusNet a header from one of the missing emails so I hope they do something about it.

Re: LCN mail fowarding to Plusnet being blocked

Adding information to a ticket awaiting Plusnet response is *not* a good idea. It moves it to the back of the queue so your action is actually having the reverse of the intended effect.
You will get a faster response if you *don't* add information to it.

Re: LCN mail fowarding to Plusnet being blocked

PlusNet requested the header info so I was just being a good boy.
Anyway, if nothing is added to the ticket then after 2 weeks they close it as they must assume the problem has gone away. This is what happened the last time.
Any idea as to why their support desk is so poor nowadays?

Re: LCN mail fowarding to Plusnet being blocked

I posted this morning regarding LCN/Plusnet. I wasn't getting e-mails all yesterday and this morning.
Now I seem to be receiving them OK.
I'll ask LCN if they can forward all the e-mails that I have missed.

The ticket will only close if it is with you for 14 days.  If it is with us, it will not close.

Re: LCN mail fowarding to Plusnet being blocked

Was that ticket raised by Plusnet (eg when you called the CSC) or by yourself? I think my Plusnet raised tickets self close after 14 days with no activity no matter who they are with.
