Joined PN yesterday, can't get the email to work.

I set the mailboxes up about 9 this morning.
Hubbys is NAME@USERNAME.plus.com and is set to default, but he can't log into webmail using all this so does he just log is as username?
Also I can log into webmail but can't send any messages, it comes up with something along the lines of
SMTP error 550 <name@username.plus.com> sender rejected - invalid domain (no MX or A record)
Anyone got any ideas please?

Not really but a couple of things to check
Go to https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=myemail&s=1&redirected=yes&?membermenu=emailsettings and click on Manage My Mail - is it showing there (it probably is but worth another look)
For webmail the login is username+name with the password you set when setting up the mailbox (if you didn't set one it is the portal password)
If all else fails either raise a ticket, phone in or wait for it to be picked up on Monday here

All of the mailbox addresses are showing.
I will retry logging in to the web mail using your suggestion.
I have raised a ticket too, just waiting for a reply.

It seems I'm having a blond moment!
If I had actually bothered to read the email that was sent confirming the addresses I would have seen they wouldn't operational for 4 hours!

Interesting: I thought PN had discontinued offering email (along with webspace) to new domestic customers...

Not correct
However there is a slight difference I believe in that if you have an existing email address and want to keep using it then there isn't a requirement to have a default Plusnet email address for communications from Plusnet so an email address isn't setup automatically
