I am having probs sending email from iPhone :(

I am having probs with sending email from my iPhone. I can receive but not reply/send. I have read how to set up the account so not sure what I can do, any ideas please? I have also read other peoples posts about this in the past but thought it best to start a new thread as advised.

Umm... First question, are you trying to send via wifi or over the mobile network?

It will be both I use wifi at home and  Tmobile outside Does this make a difference?

Ah, you're back, welcome back.
Yes, it can make a difference, particularly over some mobile networks as they block certain ports that are usually used with email, so make it difficult to use other email services than their own servers.
Can you just confirm what server settings you are currently using on your iPhone, specifically the smtp settings. Thanks.

Ok so far. Can you go to the settings app and then under Mail,... Select the name then IMAP account, scroll down to outgoing mail server and select SMTP. Then select the Primary Server... Now from that page can you check if User Name has anything listed & Password if there is. Also confirm that Use SSL is set to off, Authentication is set to Password (or none if no username is listed) and Server Port is set to 587.

Hmm... Nothing untoward there. Odd that it doesn't work. Maybe a long shot but can't help to try, in the SMTP settings try re-entering the User Name & Password again.
If that doesn't work, well I'm out of ideas, apart from one but that's the last resort. Also could be an idea to check on computer if settings work there.

Try port 25 instead of 587. I've just set mine up with that and it works fine over wifi and mobile network(Vodafone)
