I forgot to cancel my email transfer to Greenby before the 8th December deadline.
My account hasn't yet been transferred, how easy is it to close my account after migration?

Hi @Richchad
I tried to look at support, but there is nothing on closing accounts, so I asked the A-not-I bot...
Good question! I don't have specific instructions in our knowledge base about the account closure process for migrated accounts.
Since closing an account involves important account-level actions (like data retention, final billing, etc.), this would need to be handled by our support team directly.
You'd need to raise a support ticket so the team can:
- Confirm your identity and account details
- Discuss any implications (like what happens to your emails/domains)
- Process the closure properly
To create a ticket, log into your Greenby dashboard, go to the Support section, click Tickets, then New Ticket. Choose the appropriate department (probably Technical Support or Billing depending on your situation) and explain that you'd like to close your account.
Is there a particular reason you're looking to close the account? Sometimes there might be other options available depending on what you're trying to achieve.
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links

@Townman Thanks for looking into closing my account.
I guess I will have to wait until it is actually migrated to Greenby before attempting to close it.
I have not ever really used my Plusnet email other than receiving bill notifications so no use for it really as they are duplicated to one of my gmail accounts.
Now seeing I am expected to pay for it in a couple of years and reading how people are having problems with the migration to it confirms my reason to close the account.
Thanks for your help.

You can opt to opt out if you do not need the @account.plus.com email service when you get the migration is scheduled advice.
I expect that these are all service commissioning issues - it ought not to have been this grim, but Greenby appears to be building a brand new email service.

@Richchad Have a look at my thread to which no one including @plusnettony has replied.
I have opted out several times but continue to get messages about the migration.
You could try the optout link in my message but I am not convinced that it actually does anything.
