Help requested for legacy Totalise email please

Hi - I've had a totalise email address for the last 25-30 years or so, which I've just maintained for various email subscriptions etc.

Because my mails are regularly exceeding the limit, every few months I have been logging in via Madasafish and then Plusnet to delete emails to free up space.

As I've not logged in since about June, and I'm again over the mailbox limit I've not actually received any emails to my totalise account since then so I guess I've not received any of the information about migrating to Greenby?

I've tried logging in to plusnet to purge my emails, but I can't log in. So I've tried logging in to Greenby, but my email address wasn't recognised.

Grateful for any advice on how/where I can log in to view my emails, and purge the mailbox, and access my totalise emails?

TIA

How/where did you try logging in to Greenby? To log in to your Greenby account via the Greenby  portal, despite what it may say there, you need to use your Plusnet Username and password.

To log in directly to the Greenby email interface -  Roundcube Webmail :: Welcome to Roundcube Webmail (greenby.com) - you need to use your full Plusnet email address and password.

If using client email software, the correct setting should be shown in your online Greenby account. Or much advice is available elsewhere on this forum.

Re: Help requested for legacy Totalise email please

Thanks for this

So I managed to use the roundcube link you posted and logged in successfully to my inbox. As I thought it still only contains emails received up to 26/06/26. So I've deleted a mass of old emails in my inbox to free up space, but as yet I've not received any emails through between 26/06 and up to today. However I just sent a test email from gmail to my totalise address and that has come through ok. Hopefully I'll eventually receive the emails between June and today?

@rclyde I'm not certain about these really old accounts, but normally Plusnet, who now (or did) control them, do not save messages indefinitely if you don't access the mailbox at least once in (90?) days, so I suspect your chances of recovering any are, to say the least, slim to non-existent.

@rclyde

I have a few rarely used accounts from the past.

To keep them alive & ready to go I have them all configured in an email program or app so that when ever I open say MS Outlook or Thunderbird or what ever mobile app it logins in to all of my email accounts so they all look active.

@PhilipHeyes Unfortunately, a very large number of people do not use clients, according to what I can see on here. I have always used a proper program, only using webmail as a last resort, or about once a month to check for anything which may have been wrongly put in spam - and 999 times out of a 1000, that folder is empty.

Re: Help requested for legacy Totalise email please

Thanks both for your thoughts.

So I can still see all my olds emails (about 3000) that are in my totalise mailbox from as early as the 2000s up to 26/6/26, which was when the mailbox size limit was reached and I stopped receiving them.

I am now getting emails sent to my totalise address from yesterday evening when I purged my totalise inbox.

It jus looks like I'm not going to get any of the email come through between 26/6/26 and 18/10/26

It's not the end of the world.... it's just whenever I did this before the 'missing' emails would have been held in a cache and eventually come through to my inbox

When the mailbox is full email will bounce. Fortunately, you get a lot more space should you move to Greenby.
