HTC Wildfire e-mail settings

A bit of help if anyone is able!
I have four e-mail accounts set up on my HTC, all POP3 accounts. They have been working fine, but now will receice but not send when not on Wifi.
When connected to Wifi, all is fine, but when on G£ etc., will not send - message says account settings incorrect although I haven't changed them.
Does anyone have any ideas please?

Two possible reasons:-
1) you need to use authenticated smtp when not connected to the PlusNet network ( see this thread http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,91274.0.html
2) some 3g networks block access to port 25 ( used for smtp ). In this case you need to use the 3g networks own smtp server

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
