HTC Desire e mail problem

I have an HTC Desire Phone and I wish to set up e mail. It asks me for the following information:
E Mail address
Server address (exchange server name)
Exchange domain name
Exchange Username
Password
I have a print out of my plus net connection setings for manual connection but I don't know which are for what line above
Is it mail.plus.net for server or imap or relay?.
Whats the exchange domain name ? where do I find it? etc...
Could anyone  please tell me what information from my current connection setting would be relevant to put into the required fields asked for above.
Help please, Support said look at the e mail Q & A pages  I did that first!

You need to select the type of account as either POP3  or IMAP rather the Exchange server.

You need to select "other (pop3/imap)" when creating your email account. The screenshots on the web page above aren't from the HTC Desire.
