Good Afternoon,


A friend of mine has had a email address for a long time. I understand that this is now hosted by PlusNet.

There have been times over the last few months when the service has been interrupted. I can see from reading this forum that there have been connectivity issues for some years.

About two weeks ago my friend stopped getting emails from her globalnet account. As she has been travelling it has not been a particular issue and in the past has restarted, with no obvious intervention. However this time it has not restarted.

Any suggestions as to what the problem is please ?To ensure we have correct settings for the mail servers can someone let me have them please or point me to the information.

If you can PM me your friends Globalnet e-mail address I'll be happy to look into this.

For reference, I've attached the settings for our Globalnet mail servers below: 


Brand Incoming Server (POP3)
Port 110
Incoming Server (IMAP)
Port 143
Outgoing Server (SMTP)
Port 25 or 587
Username Format Secondary Format Email Address Format Mail Capacity
Globalnet smtpmail.
