Error "Connection dropped" while searching Inbox - webmail client

ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server.
Query: SEARCH CHARSET ISO-8859-1 ALL SUBJECT "whatever it is I search for"
every time!
I've hardly ever used this feature but today it's urgent of course ...

All I get when trying to log onto webmail is :-
ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server.
Any mailbox and different accounts as well.

Same here. The webmail system is falling over yet again. I just wish someone would once and for all just FIX THE **** THING!
Sorry I'm angry but I just had yet another long and urgent email disappear into the void with a connection dropped error.

Normally I use MAIL at home to read my emails, and all is fine
But now I am away from home and have had hundreds of Connection dropped by IMAP server
In fact I have hardly managed to read an email, but I see that I have 42 which I cannot read
I have been trying for 2 days now
