Error message on phone: "pop3/imap access is not enabled for this account"

Trying to add a plusnet e-mail to my phone, but get the above error message.
Any thoughts on how to enable pop3/imap? - can't see any useful setting within my plusnet webmail account.

Found the answer myself via PN chat - it wasn't the imap/pop3 authentication which was the problem, it was failing to type in the full username ([username]+[e-mail]) - gets me every time.
