Emails appear on phone but not in webmail

Hi

I have a subscription to the Hertfordshire libraries magazine service when a new issue of a magazine is released I get an email with a heading New Magazine Issues Available to check out from Your Zinio for Libraries Collection from rbsso AT rbdigital.com

This email shows on my Android phone in the mail App but doesn't show in Webmail on my PC unless I search for it (search for rbdig) when it does appear (along with the last 3 emails I've missed)

I've had a "chat" with support but I don't think he understood the problem.

Anyone else had a problem where emails appear on their phone and not in webmail?

Thanks

Re: Emails appear on phone but not in webmail

If you are accessing the emails via POP then, unless you tell it to do otherwise, it will delete them from the server

Re: Emails appear on phone but not in webmail

Yeah but then they wouldn't show up in search also this is the only email address I have a problem with. All other emails are appearing on the phone and in Webmail as expected. My guess is there is some hidden filter in webmail but I can't prove this

Re: Emails appear on phone but not in webmail

Sorry I misread your problem

I am typing this while I wait for webmail to load Crazy

If you click on the cog - bottom left under folders and Select Manage Folders are there any folders which you aren't subscribed to

Re: Emails appear on phone but not in webmail

The ones in your search results appear as if they have been read due to them not being highlighted bold.

Does your display of Sunday's mails only display unread items?

What happens if you click the 'Date' column a couple of times? Sounds like a sorting problem to me.

Re: Emails appear on phone but not in webmail

Have you by chance / accident left the filter set to "Unread"?

Capture webmail filter.JPG

As I observe that all of the emails shown in the screen shot are unread.

Re: Emails appear on phone but not in webmail

There is some possibility that those dates are correct - either real or misunderstood.

If you right click the mail item, select more actions at the bottom, there is an option "view" source - that will show all of the email headers, routing and time stamps.

Re: Emails appear on phone but not in webmail

Those are the routing headers which appear to be OK. However after these there will be additional headers which will include From, To:, Date:, and Subject:. These are set by the email client and it is the date on that Date: header which needs to be checked.
