I cant send emails from laptop or iPhone or webmail! receiving no problem.
If you look in webmail the emails have been sent but they never arrive, I have spent 2 hours yesterday and today hanging on the phone trying to get through to faults, I have been with this service since Force9 days and it has never been this bad!!!! I filled in the complaints form on line probably a waste of time

POP3 or IMAP as appropriate. Is your e mail prog on the laptop generating an error message
when you send?

Hi thanks for coming back I have double checked the settings are ok the message is "relay.plus.net" failed? forgetting iPhones and Laptops why cant I send from the mail server as I said it says the messages are sent but they don't arrive?

I cant believe we were the only ones with the problem there were 2 x iPhones, 2 x laptops, 1 iPad and the mail server which wouldn't send!! emails arriving 2 days after sending and your help line hung up for hours! lets be realistic

You're not! I've had problems sending emails from my Mac over the past few days, being told they have been sent, but actually not. All the settings are correct. Suddenly righted itself, but taking ages to deliver. I sent one yesterday at 10:39, it arrived at 03:11 this morning - 17 hours!
I also had problems with an iPad and iPhones following upgrade to ios12, but help on here helped me to sort it out.

Hi Jim the following morning all phones and laptops were working I was getting my test emails from 2 days earlier, I know anything server orientated can have problems but my fault tickets were not replied to nor my 2 hours plus on the phone trying to get some answers, nor has the service details for emails been updated for months still showing alert!!
On the other hand I had a VERY slow connection 3MB/s and got through on the on line assist (this was not available on my email problem) very quick and helpful tests were done all ok, but suddenly the speed shot up to normal???

@Jim20, are you experiencing these email delays when sending to all email address or by any chance is it specific to gmail.com/googlemail.com addresses when they come through delayed?

Just to confirm have you had the issue recently?
If so it may be worth obtaining the e-mail headers once they've been received so we can investigate further.
If you don't know how to do this there's a guide here that shows how to do this

Sorry about the delay in replying. Delays only seem to happen with Gmail. I tried again yesterday, and it took over 6 hours. All other emails I've sent seem to be getting through much quicker.

Hi guys,
Just to let you know we're aware of some issues with the email system intermittently delaying, or rejecting (as per the other thread) mail.
It's currently being looked into and has gone back to the operations team on Friday as previous fixes that rolled didn't quite resolve the issues.
This is not something that will get fixed immediately, just to make you aware, but it is being looked at.
