Email not working at the moment - is there a problem?

Email is out - won't download and Sqirrel says "Connection dropped by IMAP server".  Is this temporary?

Me too - using POP3 client (Entourage/Mac).  I see there is a Service Status message about webmail, and another over-arching status message about "migration of email servers" covering this period.  If/when it actually takes out email, it would be nice to be told "it's not end users"??

Me too, Windows Live Mail on Windows 7 and also my Android mail client, all using POP3.

Seems to be affecting IMAP and POP3.
EDIT: Seems to be working again now.

Two problems at the moment folks
This one which is a bit of an unwanted consequence of this maintenance work, and this one which was due to a problem with the mail storage platform (the latter should be on the mend now).

Yep, should be sorted now, so shout up if you encounter any more probelms. I'm particularly interested in how Webmail's performing and whether or not people are still seeing the dreaded 'IMAP dropped' errors in Webmail?

Maybe off topic, but I get the IMAP dropped" message a lot when trying to delete a large number of mails in one go (like 250+). Is this just a system limitation?

The way the network architecture is set up for Webmail won't help with that Tony. I'd be interested to know whether or not today's changes make it any better though over the coming weeks.

I haven't been able to do replies from my webmail for a long time now (weeks if not months).  I haven't reported it as I prefer to reply from within Outlook anyway.  As a  matter of interest though, is there a reason for my being unable to do this?

What exactly happens? do you get any errors... i.e. you can write the reply, send it but it never arrives? you never get to the compose page? etc...
