Hi,
Yeah, it should be back up and working for all as of just before 17:00. We put a temporary fix in place just before lunch for people on their home Broadband connections.

Are you able to give us some idea of what the problem is? Sounds like it's not permanently fixed? I'm mainly interested in why replacing mail.plus.net with a specific IP address works.

@Kelly That 'temporary fix' was only partially successful - sometimes it checked all my accounts, sometimes 2 or 3, but as none of my mail was important, as checked via webmail, I didn't panic. Glad to see it now appears to to be fixed.

@jab1 Ah! We had a suspicion that the work around might not be 100% effective. We'll have a look tomorrow at if we can see why. Glad it's working for you now.
