Email from Nexus 4 (Android 4.4)

I have set up the email app on my Nexus 4 (Android 4.4) phone and it all works OK. BUT I have found that when I send an e-mail from the phone my message shows up on the recipient's INBOX as my email address and not my name even though I have entered my name in the "Your name" box in settings.  When I send emails from my computer my name shows not my e-mail address..
What do I need to do in the settings so that my name appears in the recepient's INBOX?
Can anyone please help?

Re: Email from Nexus 4 (Android 4.4)

I hadn't noticed but my Nexus 7 tablet running Android 4.4 behaves this way too. I don't know if behaviour was the same with 4.3.
It doesn't look as though anyone here knows the solution and I've drawn a blank using Google. Huh

Re: Email from Nexus 4 (Android 4.4)

I hadn't noticed either but my Nexus 4 on 4.4 is the same. I'm pretty sure it displayed my name on 4.3. There has been a major update to the stock POP3/IMAP e-mail client in 4.4 so maybe it's because of this.

Re: Email from Nexus 4 (Android 4.4)

Looking back through my messages I can confirm that both 4.3 (my own tablet) and 4.2 (someone else's Nexus 7) did put the sender's full name on the From header.

Bug has been fixed by Android 4.4.2 system update.
