Re: Email attachments getting lost.

You've got an impersonator then who lives in Poole.  Smiley
Any road up, I think the email problem is permanent. Unfortunately. Thanks for your help.

Re: Email attachments getting lost.

Right then, I had a chance to look at Webmail before downloading the actual email which had an attachment, and the attachment is there. However, POPping the server brings in the email, but the attachment has gone. Which is a bit of a bummer. Antivirus catching it definitely isn't the problem.
This only happens when attachments are sent from that one particular sender, which gives me the impression it's something to do with the format they are sending the email itself in. Anyone got any more ideas? I've read that rtf isn't liked by many email clients.

Which email client does the sender of the problem email use?

Re: Email attachments getting lost.

I'm not sure whether this article is relevant or not to the problem you are having. When you checked on webmail was a Winmail.dat attachment present?

Re: Email attachments getting lost.

By Jove Moriarti, I do believe you might be on to something there! Actually there was something like that in the webmail entry. Thanks for that. I'll have a word with the sender!  Cheesy
