Email after broadband account closure.

If I close my broadband account would my email account also be closed? and if so, at what point would this happen?

Re: Email after broadband account closure.

You could downgrade to Dialup and forward your mail to say hotmail for example.
Hope this helps

I don't think Plusnet permit downgrades to dial-up now. I think a mail only service is available, but this costs £20 per annum.

Does that include the news server?

Re: Email after broadband account closure.

Sorry, don't know the answer to that - one for the staff.
My response was based on the following items in the Cancellations Policy document
[quote=http://www.plus.net/support/service/policies/cancellation.shtml#generalPolicies]
General Policies
5 When an account is closed, access to all account features provided by Plusnet will be removed. This includes email, hosted web-space and Member Centre access (including discussion forums and access to the Help Assistant Ticketing system).
6 It is possible, when requesting an account cancellation, to request a downgrade to a mail only package for £20 a year instead of full account closure. This will allow continued access to email and some member centre features. This option must be requested at the time of cancellation.
