I have been travelling in the USA. Opened my email one lunchtime to be told there were connection issues. Opened again in the evening to find an empty mail box. Checked across all platforms. No email stored on webmail, iphone or ipad. What has caused this?

A warm welcome to the forums. This sounds as though your email usage has exceeded the FUP of 1GB. You ought to have received 3 prior notices (warnings) at 7 day intervals.
You can ask for the mail boxes to be restored via chat.
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
