Hello,
Am I alone in getting email timeout error messages? This has been happening for a couple of days and I was hoping it would resolve itself.
I'm using MS Outlook 2002 and I'm getting the error, "0x8004210A. Operation timed out waiting for a response from the POP server".
I haven't changed anything and going into the account settings and taking the "Test Account Settings" option completes successfully.

Hi Mike,
I've tested your mail account and it is working fine.
Do you have an anti-virus installed? If so I would either try and disable this and try again, or check the settings in there to see if your incoming mail is being blocked.

Hi Chris,
Yes I've got AV software installed. I've also got several other email, (POP3), accounts setup in Outlook which are all working. And as at this this morning my Plusnet account is working OK. It appears to have healed! Maybe whatever you did to test the account has changed something and cleared the problem.
