Email Rejected By avasin15.plus.net

Hello,

 

We are trying to email a PlusNet account, however this is being rejected by avasin15.plus.net with very minimal information as to why.

 

I'm not a customer, but represent the company trying to email your PlusNet users, how can i make contact to discuss this and find out why the messages are being rejected.

 

Please can you advise as all methods to call or enter online chat have proved unsuccessful due to me not being a PlusNet customer.

Are you able to share the rejection message? It would also be helpful to know the IP address(es) of your MTA(s), and the domain(s) you're sending from. Feel free to private message me if you're uncomfortable sharing these in public.

Is it because it should be user@avisin15.plus.COM?

Good thought but avasin15.plus.net is the server which was processing the message, not the addressee who would have an email address in name@username.plus.com style. The problem will be related to message content or origin which Bob will look into. Smiley

I have just sent a test from my account, and hopefully it will go through this time.

 

Out of interest, did you identify the reason these were bouncing?

Looks like there was something in the body of the message that our spam filters didn't like.

Do you know exactly what so we can be aware of the types of areas you are checking? The reason i ask is we tried sending a completely blank message, and a few with very minimal amounts of text, no links etc, and it still didn't go through.

I'm afraid the issue has re-surfaced for me, and i'm again getting delivery messages for message detected as SPAM.

Hello Bob.

 

How can any sender have any idea that their message body triggered the spam filter? This indicates that the configuration is set too aggressively, or maybe manually incorrectly set.

There could be 1000s of people/businesses getting similar bounce messages, that probably simply ignore it - perhaps causing issues for the recipient.

 

The main problem for the sender, is how do they get around it if all of a sudden emails fail where previously they were fine? One might expect them to send a huge variety of the same email to see which one gets through. Of course, by doing that, it could trigger a different bulk sending spam filter.
