Email Header Query

Could someone in the know tell me what action Plusnet's email servers would take if an inbound email contained the following header:-

Precedence:Bulk

I can't provide a definitive answer but I think it would be ignored. That header was included in Service Status emails which the UserTools box used to send out, and as far as I'm aware caused no problems.

Gmail however does take notice of the presence of that header and is more tolerant of receiving identical mailing list messages across its customer base without classifying them as spam.
