Email Alert Message

Thunderbird - just started to get the message below. Can no longer send emails! Changed nothing, working fine for years! Help please.

Alert - An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: <xxxx@xxx.plus.com> sender rejected - invalid domain (no MX or A record). Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again.

Re: Email Alert Message

Hi Geoff,

A warm welcome to the forums.

Just to be clear of where we are starting from - has this ever worked? Might you be a new user who has not yet gone fully live?

There is a known intermittent error where DNS lookups fail which might give the error you report ... but there are other scenarios which might give the same error.

Re: Email Alert Message

Port 587 is preferable.
