EE mobile network cant verify my Plusnet e-mail address

My wife upgraded her O2 mobile contract and the Plusnet email settings were veriified by O2.

I also upgraded my EE mobile contract but the Plusnet email settings which are the same as my wifes will not verify by EE

Is there a problem between EE and Plusnet?

Re: EE mobile network cant verify my Plusnet e-mail address

Hi Mike,

A warm welcome to the forums.  When you try to verify the Plusnet email address, exactly what is the error message and where is that message being seen?

If the error message is being reported on a web page form, the issue could be with the owner of the form.

Re: EE mobile network cant verify my Plusnet e-mail address

Fix

Thanks for your response. The problem is now sorted, I forgot to manually enter the incoming and outgoing mailbox addresses

for POP3. When I set up the e-mail address for my wife on her O2 network phone it entered them automatically.

Regards

Mike

Re: EE mobile network cant verify my Plusnet e-mail address

Ah, your original post did not convey that you were talking about setting up email configuration on your phones.  In which case, what phones / email programs you are using would have had far more relevance than which mobile network you are one.

Good to know that you have it sorted.

I am though surprised that whatever device your wife is using auto-configured.  (a) Plusnet does not support auto-configuration and (b) usually email programs make a stab in the dark and would seek to use smtp.account.plus.com (for example) as the server name, which is of course incorrect.
