E-mail timeouts (2011-03-08)

Is anybody else unable to access incoming e-mail? I haven't tried using webmail, but it's failing using Outlook Express.

I have also tried to get mail via Outlook Express without success. Also tried direct from Plusnet site direct with the same result.

I checked my mail using webmail this morning but now I can't even log in.
Error connecting to IMAP server: imap.force9.net.
110 : Connection timed out

We're just raised an internal problem and our network engineers are looking into this as I type (ref: 66166). Service Status on its way.

Webmail is shagged too.  I'm really, really tired of the poor email service.  I've been frustrated but patient for months and months (and months) now but it is unacceptable to call it a "service" any more.  I'm cutting down the volume of my Inbox and sent box but it doesn't seem to make any difference.  Has PlusNet expanded too suddenly?  I don't want a hotmail address or a googlemail address and don't want my mail back on the Hard Drive again.
Sort it out please.

Same issues here. Webmail has never been as quick as some others I use but bearable although it has become increasingly unusable recently.

Same problems here
error message is
Task 'mail.plus.net - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC92) : 'Your e-mail server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password in your account properties. Under Tools, click E-mail accounts.  The server responded: -ERR POP3 cache file not accessable'

It's failing again now, but occasionally manages to work.

Back up and running/crawling again.  These problems have now become normal.  OK, it's a monthly contract and streaming etc. isn't too bad, but the email situation is, frankly, poor and has been for a long time.  If this is a deliberate ploy to get us old customers off SquirrelMail then it's nearly worked for this irritated consumer.  C'mon, you can do better than this.
