Deleting old E-mail addresses

When I switched from Tiscali to PlusNet I assumed I would lose my Tiscali addresses and set up new Hotmail ones.
I find I am still receiving unwanted Tiscali mail and would like to know how to remove them

Hi there,
I'm assuming that you check your email using a program such as Outlook or Thunderbird?
If so it should just be a case of removing any settings for Tiscali.
Let me know how you're seeing these emails and I should be able to give you some more specific advice.

Tiscali don't seem to delete your email account; I've still got one from being with them many years ago.

I'm using Windows Live Mail having also updated to Windows 7. I find it a bit confusing after using Outlook which raises another problem. With more than one E-mail address I don't know how to select the one I want to send from.
