Default mailbox - login failed
I can't access the default mailbox, I'm trying to login to webmail using the account name only (not user+accountname) and the same password that I use to login to the plusnet portal. I get "login failed". Can anyone help or shed any light on whats going on here?

If you needed to change your password to log in, then is is highly likely that your email account has been compromised and the password changed by Plusnet Security to protect the reputation of the email server used by everyone.
Can you please change your password to something you have not used before.
If you have used this same email address / password elsewhere (Amazon, Ebay, Netflix ... etc.) you would be wise to change your account credentials there too.
