Re: Cloudmark anti-spam migrations October 2011...

Morning folks,
Now Metronet has been moved across (with no problems seen), we'll be looking to move Free Online and Madasafish customers across today:
[quote author="Bob Pullen"]Planned Anti-spam/Email Platform Maintenance - Monday 10th October
When's this work happening?
Today, 10th October.
What does it affect?
Both inbound and outbound email delivery, spam and virus filtering.
How long will it take?
The work itself will be completed by the end of the working day, however the changes may take 24-48 hours to come into effect.
What does the work involve?
We're migrating Free Online customers to a new anti-spam platform.
Am I likely to notice this work?
The work is designed to be as transparent as possible, however the more astute may notice subtle changes to the way email is delivered across our network.
Is there anything else I need to know?
For further details surrounding this maintenance, please see the recently published blog article over on our Community Site - http://community.plus.net/blog/2011/10/04/plusnet-look-to-the-clouds-for-email-security-solution/
Kind Regards,

If the order used on previous migrations is being followed I think Force9 could be next. Wink

Re: Cloudmark anti-spam migrations October 2011...

Thanks Pierre, there will obviously be a few cases where spams slip through the net however we appreciate the feedback and will do what we can to relay the information to Cloudmark. The size of these emails is very small and it's possible that they're '0 day' spams which haven't yet been seen by the system. Such classification lag is a common problem with spam systems.

Re: Cloudmark anti-spam migrations October 2011...

In webmail my spam folder is empty, it shouldn't be should it?  I'm also getting a fair few phishing emails coming through, I mark them as spam and instead of being moved to the spam folder they are moved to trash.

What does the X-CM Score mean?  0 meaning 0% chance of it being spam/phishing?  Shouldn't mail reporting to come from halifax.com instantly be marked as suspicious when it isn't from Halifax?

Re: Cloudmark anti-spam migrations October 2011...

getting better, my todays e-mail from connersmun got marked as spam.
but as per the above what am I loosing?  I used to get 4 or five spam a day,  now its only two.  I hope none of those are false positives
