How long will it take?
About ten minutes, however the changes may take 24-48 hours to come into effect.
What does the work involve?
We will be changing the mail exchange (MX) records for the email service we provide.
Am I likely to notice the work?
Possibly. If you're familiar with DNS/MX records then you might notice that the MX records for your email address changes to 'mx.avasin.plus.net'. This is purely aesthetic and will have no bearing on the way in which your email is delivered.
Is there anything else I need to know?
This is one of the final stages of the work to move customer email to a new anti-spam platform -

This will result in the MX records for anybody using Plusnet for email changing from either:
10 mx-trial.core.plus.net.
20 mx-trial.last.plus.net.
Or:
10 mx-ironport.core.plus.net.
20 mx-ironport.last.plus.net.
To:
10 mx.avasin.plus.net
