I've bought a new pc with windows 11. I cannot get the outlook to connect to the totalise server. Ive tried the recommended setting, I've gone through all the settings I can find in the forum, but keep getting the same message back. I may need an app password. Any further suggestion?

To save someone else asking, Is this "Outlook" as supplied with windows 11 (sometimes referred to as "new Outlook") or "Outlook (classic)" as part of a Microsoft 365 account?

This is "outllok" as supplied with windows 11. While I do have a 365 account I cannot find a way to download classic, it looks like it has been discontinued.

I set up a new Windows 11 PC within the last couple of months.
Installed Microsoft 365.
When I pressed the windows key and started to type Outlook, two options appeared "Outlook" and "Outlook (classic)" I chose to open the latter.
It may also be worth looking under settings > Apps >Installed Apps (which in my case seems to have Outlook for windows listed. and settings > Apps >Default Apps which has both "Outlook" and "Outlook (classic)" listed

Outlook classic has not been discontinued.
Are you setting the server details manually? Use the server connection diagnostics to find the correct settings and validate them.

A Google search suggests that Outlook Classic has been dropped from some 365 installations, but is still available.
For example, see: https://office-watch.com/2025/outlook-classic-dropped-from-microsoft-365/.
