Cannot delete Inbox messages in Webmail or Email client

Looks like there is still a problem this morning. After rollback, messages delete from phone and do not reappear but are not actually deleted from the server!

I have just deleted an email from my phone, it stayed deleted and it is no longer visible in Webmail, so it seems to have fixed it for me.

Received an email from Matalan this morning.

Deleted it from my Android phone and it reappeared a few seconds later.

Deleted it a second time with the same result.

That is exactly what I expected to see. Just rolling back the change will have stopped indexes being corrupted but won't have done anything to fix indexes that are already corrupted. Plusnet need to rebuild the IMAP indexes in the affected accounts.

Do you have the option to Compact a folder in the Android app? If you do try it - that worked for me on a mailbox I was having the same problem with on another providers system.

Alternatively in the latest versions of Roundcube there is the same option, but guess what, Plusnet's version is way out of date so you are stuffed there!

Edit: As Bob has pointed out (not sure how I missed it) there is a Compact option - it's worth people logging in to their mailbox using webmail and giving that a go.

It's worth anyone affected going in to Webmail and giving that a go - there's nothing to lose and it might fix it.

Compact is also available on the webmail "cog" menu (bottom left)..

Email from Travel South Yorkshire deleted off my phone just now.

Email returned a few seconds later.
