Can't send emails from Microsoft Outlook

Sad
This is my first day with Plusnet, and bearing in mind I moved to them on a recommendation, I am ending the day thinking that my choice was a bad one. I receive an error message of Ox800CCC78  with mention of username and password with 530 Authenticayion. I have rung Technical support who appear clueless as to my problem. Any help would be great...

Re: Can't send emails from Microsoft Outlook

Have you followed the set-up guide here http://www.plus.net/support/email/setup/ ; specifically
    * Outgoing mail server (SMTP): relay.plus.net
and is "My outgoing Server (SMTP) requires authentication" unticked

Hopefully one of the PN staff will see this - hint, hint - and will ensure that CS staff are trained appropriately.

Re: Can't send emails from Microsoft Outlook

Yep, hint taken - looking at the ticket history though it's slightly worrying that the profile was recreated at least twice and the outgoing auth option was mentioned neither by the staff or by rosey1955 (more worrying that it wasn't mentioned by staff though).
Thanks for the heads up.
