Can't send emails but can receive

I use Windows live mail.

On Saturday I received an email from Plusnet to say as I hadn't accessed my webmail inbox for sometime it is being cleared.

No problem with that but that was the last email I received from anyone it is now Thursday.

No email settings in Live mail have been changed and I get the error message below.

Unable to send or receive messages for the *********.plus (*********) account. The email server returned an error.

Server Error: 0x800CCC90

Server Response: * OK [CAPABILITY IMAP4 IMAP4REV1] perdition ready on mail.plus.net 00029fa6

Does anyone have any ideas, have tried everything.

Hi Mike,

A warm welcome to the forums. Do you still have this problem?

The error message you have posted refers to the POP3 server which is RECEIVING emails, so the title of this topic might be a bit misleading.

It would help to know that your credentials ore OK, can you access the mailbox using webmail?

In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links
