Can't send email

Using Thunderbird, can recieve but can't send emails - I get error message ... "Enter your password for [Removed] on relay.plus.net: "Sending of the message failed".

I do and it rejects it (assuming I have the correct one but as far as I am aware there is only the one). 

then

"The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) relay.plus.net timed out. Try again".

Is this problem at my end or PNs. It seem to be happening more frequently and seems to right itsef after a few hours. Pretty annoying.

These are the recommended settings for your email client

  • IMAP: imap.plus.net port: 993 TLS/SSL
  • POP3: mail.plus.net port: 995 TLS/SSL
  • SMTP: relay.plus.net port: 587 STARTTLS
