Hi Fifehead6,
As Gus mentioned the setting is in your client as opposed to on our website itself.
Where the setting is depends on which client you are using, if you head to the link below and select the "Check and Change settings" page for the client this should point you in the right direction.

Thanks Stuart, will give it a go when I get back from a hospital visit.  Though not completely incompetent (others may dispute), I'm an OAP and not necessarily familiar with terminology - i.e. email client!

Had already done this (didn't know the terminology), it left me duplicated messages on my "client" and nothing on the mobile.  Think problem may be Outlook Express is pretty dated, also maybe I should change my email settings to IMAP instead of POP3, may be an option on Plusnet?

Yes IMAP is an option - no problem
However watch out for server limits unless you delete some of the older/larger emails http://www.plus.net/support/email/common_questions.shtml#storageLimit
Note that this is the total across all the mailboxes

Re: Can't locate setting "Leave on server after reading" on plusnet site

Thanks, Oldjim.  For starters have swapped Outlook Express for Thunderbird - success for my purposes, mail retained on mobile as well as pc.  Pro tem, no need to complicate by considering IMAP, but have made a note of your advice for future ref.
