Bt e-mail on Plusnet

I am sorry to ask his question again but no matter how I search for it I can't find the answer which I know has been posted before.
If a family member moves from BT where they currently have phone and broadband to Plus Net is there a way to keep their BT e-mail address.

I have my old BT email still  & cost me nowt , so should be no problem

This isn't a complete solution, but it is free. BT should have a way of forwarding email based on a rule. You could set up a gmail address that you can carry with you to any ISP, and then forward all incoming email from your BT account to the gmail. Failing that, gmail have a very handy feature that allows you to pull mail from a POP3 account, and I know BT present their accounts on POP3 if you want to use it that way. I'm pretty sure you can even configure gmail to send email as if you were sending from your BT address.

like i say its Simples  dont use the PN email !!  keep  the BTinternet.com which is setup on whatever email programe you use .
i use thunderbird myself , but it still works with outlook . when you leave BT your Email address does not dissapear .

How long ago did you move to from BT though?  They may have changed the rules since so that when people leave they kill their e-mail accounts unless they pay.
