At the moment I have a number of email addresses with Plusnet plus
a number of email addresses with Gmail.
Unfortunately Gmail (my main email supplier) keep messing with their user interface.
So I'd like the ability to archive emails on my PC - preferably before Gmail is FUBAR'ed.
Unfortunately, Thunderbird (my preferred mail user agent) appears to archive all emails to the same place.
I'm only interested in Linux solutions.

I don't use Thunderbird so this may not be possible but can you do a manual archive of selected folders/emails rather than an automatic archive. This is what I do with my email client which isn't Linux compatible
