Access to email account of a deceased parent

Hello,

My father has recently passed away and we are dealing with his estate etc.

As part of this process we are trying to access his accounts and laptop to complete all financial due diligence required as speedily as possible.

Is there a process to reset/access a plus net email account?

We have access to my late fathers mobile phone, landline and standard post if those are required for any process.

Specifically we are trying to log in to his laptop etc, and his Microsoft account (and others) have the plus net email address registered for the reset process.

Thanks in advance

Martin

Re: Access to email account of a deceased parent

Hi @MartinAF

I'm sorry first of all for your loss, please accept my sincere condolences during what I know to be a very difficult time.

  • We can either close the account, with an option to leave it open for up to 30 days with no further bills to pay.
  • Alternatively, we can transfer the account into your name (or another immediate family member).

I'll be happy to call you back to arrange, feel free to private message me your contact number and when you'd be free for a call. Alternatively please email us a copy of the death certificate at postroom@plus.net letting us know which of the above options ^ you'd prefer and let me know here afterwards and I'll pick it up.

To access the account you can reset the password Here but if you can't get into the email address we have on file or don't know what it is, I'll be happy to call you back to help.

Let me know if there's anything else you'd need to make things go as easy as possible from our side.

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.
