A few friends have been unable to receive my emails

Hi,  I have been with PlusNet since November 2014 and since I have changed over, a few friends have now been unable to receive my emails.  I have since tried sending them an email using my old TalkTalk email address, but they are not receiving those either.  Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Using 'reply' as not able to work out how to continue from last post!  I have now been informed that my TalkTalk messages are still getting through, so it's just sending through PlusNet that appears to be causing problem!?!

What client are you using? Have you tried webmail (webmail.plus.net)?
Do you get any error on sending, or a bounce back?

Hi, I have been using Plusnet Webmail since changing over to PlusNet.  I don't get any notification when I send to these friends (could be more, I only know of those who have contacted me by other means).  They say they have received nothing from me for ages.

Is there any commonality between the addresses you're unable to send to?
I'm struggling to think of anything specific to Plusnet's servers that would cause outbound email to simply go missing without any indication to the sender that there's been a problem. There's the possibility that the recipient servers are dropping the emails or marking them as spam. The responsibility for that is weighted more towards the recipient though. Have your friends checked their junk/spam folders?

Similar problem here. A couple of friends with gmail accounts have not been receiving my emails although others have. They have just found my "missing" emails in their spam folders. Is Google perhaps suspicious of anything coming from Plusnet?

Another couple of friends have found an email from me in their gmail spam folder. Is it possible that gmail is treating all messages from PN as spam? It might also be significant that my latest message to be so treated by gmail was to a BCC list, so appeared to be "To: Undisclosed recipients". I wonder whether that makes gmail suspicious?

Unlikely. I've just sent a message from my Plusnet account to my Gmail account and the email was delivered to my Inbox, rather than the Spam folder.
Perhaps using the 'Not Spam' button in Gmail will help reclassify things?

I run a group that contacts people on Gum Tree about rescuing dogs.
I asked someone to set up a Gum Tree advert and I used both my emails, twice, to reply and they have not been received .
Can you throw any light on this please?
Gum tree provides a button to send an email and I add the appropriate email and my name to the adverts details.
I am very concerned that I am not contacting these people when animals lives are at risk.

Your problem doesn't sound related to the other issues being reported in this thread. If I understand correctly, your problem concerns the receipt of emails, not the sending of them.
Looking at the advert, I'm guessing it's been set-up to forward email contacts from interested parties to your Plusnet email address and it's these messages that are not arriving? Is that right?

Thanks for the reply.
I have at last managed to get a response from Gum Tree and it is them who are at fault.
They admit they scan emails to make sure they are not spam.  Angry
As I am sending pre-typed information to the idiots  Roll_eyes  who advertise their dogs on this site suggesting they use a rescue , this is taken as spam by scum tree  Angry
I have got myself a gmail account and now just send a link to rescues .
So all resolved. Sorry to have troubled you .
