wireless connection

I have just set up a network connection. I had to "repair" the connection today. I've noticed on Connection Details that i obtained a "lease" at the time I regained my connection. This lease expires tomorrow after 24 hrs. Can anyone explain what this means. :?:

Your system is set the DHCP Dynamic host control protocol. It is a way of making it easy to set up a network so you dont need to know anything about tcip/subnets and gateways.

When you start your pc it is set to get its ip address automaticly. It basicly shouts anyone there on the network I want to come in. The dhcp server which is normaly the router then says yes have an ip of 10.0.0.3 etc and you can have this for X number of hours. If it runs out and you are still connected it just renews it without you knowing. Next time you logon it all starts again. Each time you may get a differant ip this also happens when you conntact Plus net

The message is normal no need to worry
