"Cannot Find ISDN Device"

A friend of mine gets the above error on his Win98 machine at start-up after installing an Epson C84 printer.

I've seen this error recently but now am tearing my hair out looking for the answer. Does anybody know what is causing it. I realise it's something to do with the printer but I know there is a specific solution because I've seen it. If only my memory wasn't like ... you know ... one of those things you drain vegetables with Shockedops:

Ah yes that's where I remember it from!

And I installed anti-virus for him too but I guess he's bloody well not updating it :x . This will be the 2nd time I will have had to disinfect his machine......

Hi, the epson monitor in the startup directory is known to cause this issue. However it shouldn't happen if the printer is connected, if it isn't just delete the entry or uninstall the monitor through add/remove..........
