Is it possible to password a printer to stop the kids wasting so much paper?

If you right-click on the printer and choose properties, there is a security tab. If you remove 'Everyone' from the list of allowed users, you can set in here that only your XP user account can print. Then the kids will have to save their work and ask you nicely, perhaps in return for doing the washing up or cleaning the car Wink .

If you remove everyone then no one can print as everyone is a member of everyone(did that make sense)

You must first add your self or make sure you have full right dont remove everyone just untick the right to print
