motherboard help overclocking

Just to add a few points.
Most important check that the PCI/AGP bus is locked. On a lot of boards this was done by changing the speed from the default to 67MHz
The significance of the memory speed options - usually 200MHz, 166MHz and 133MHz is that you are not actually setting the memory speed but the multiplier from the CPU. For example my CPU is an AMD 64 3000+ running at a default speed of 2000 MHz specified as 200 x 10. The 10 is the multiplier which can be reduced but not increased. At a memory speed of 200MHz the ratio to the CPU is 1:1 so if the processor is overclocked to 2100MHz this is 210 x 10 and the memory will run at 210MHz but if the memory speed was set at 166MHz then the new speed would be 166 x 210 / 200 = 174MHz
When I was overclocking my system I used clockgen from here http://www.cpuid.com/clockgen.php and checked stability using 3Dmark03 from here http://www.futuremark.com/download/.
As a final check after getting the fastest stable operation I found that the Doom3 demo was the most taxing program.
