How would you put items games files etc from one hard drive to another I would like to buy a bigger hard drive and take most or everything from my present hard drive and put it on another one, or some files any help? thanks Wink

Assuming this is where the thread lives.

Norton ghost is one of the most common methods, there will be others but ghost allways works well for me.

If you are andventurous there are linux methods that can be run from a live CD.

There was a free program on one of the magazines recently, I'll see if I can find what it was.

If you get a Seagate drive, it comes with a program called Diskwizard that does it all for you - formats new drive, makes it into a boot drive, copies all the files over and anything else you can think of. Very easy indeed.

And Maxtor, and IBM (whatever they are called now) have similar utilities. I still prefer Ghost or Drive Image.
