collecting plusnet email with a wireless PDA

Hi all,

Have just obtained a wireless SD card for my Dell Axim X3 PDA.

Can I check my plusnet email using the same settings as normal?

Couple of specific questions about setting it up...

1) First is the email address - I guess this that can be anything@username.plus.com ? Or is there a "default" address that plusnet uses?

2) Account type is POP3?

3) Then comes the server information:

Incoming Mail: mail.plus.net
Outgoiing Mail: relay.plus.net
Domain: Huh ---> this is the part I'm not sure about, do I need to enter anything here?

4) Can I collect my pop3 email from any network, or just my own home Plusnet connection?

Hope that makes some sense - any advice v. gratefully received!

1) This will be the email address you want to send from so yes, it can be anything@username.plus.com.

2) Yes.

3) You can only use relay.plus.net if you are connected to PlusNet (i.e. you have a PN assigned IP or the router you connect to has). If you are connected via some other ISPs wireless network you have to use their outgoing SMTP server to send emails.

I'm not sure what you put for domain either.

4) Access to POP3 mailboxes (mail.plus.net) is from any network. Only sendingis restricted as detailed in my answer to 3.

Domain: Unless you're using a win system I'd take a guess at leaving it blank is sensible. In this context I suspect they're on about domains as Windows knows and (mis)understands them.
