Are there any firewall rules wtihin the setup? you could try to block all incoming / outgoing TCP packets to the second PC's IP address. This would kill the net. You could also just add a 2nd NIC to your main box, and have a cable linking the two boxes together that way. Or install a software firewall on the 2nd computer, and set it to deny all traffic destined to the outside world.

As Buz has previously stated, you can block all out going and incoming access using the firewall within the router. However you may need to add addition rules to allow basic networking between the machines.

blocking computer internet access

Hi All,

I use a Draytek 2900 router and some beta firmware has just been released to block P2P traffic.

So far it cannot be time sequenced but includes:-
- eDonkey (eDonkey, eMule, Shareaza, MLDonkey)
- FastTrack (KazaA, iMesh, MLDonkey)
- Gnutella (BearShare, Gnucleus, Limewire, Phex, Swapper, XoloX,
Shareaza, MLDonkey)
- BitTorrent

Might be worth looking at
Regards, Mike
